We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Foreman to supervise the daily maintenance operations at Amlabad Colliery. You will lead a team of fitters and helpers to ensure high availability of underground and surface machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Supervision: Allocate tasks to mechanical fitters and helpers at the start of the shift and monitor their performance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the repair and maintenance of Haulages, Conveyors, Pumps, and Ventilation fans.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose breakdown issues underground to minimize production loss.
- Safety Checks: Conduct statutory inspections of mechanical gears and ensure flameproof (FLP) integrity of equipment in hazardous zones.
- Reporting: maintain the Foreman’s daily report/logbook regarding work done and spare parts consumed.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR ITI (Fitter) with significant experience.
- Statutory Certificate: Valid Foreman Certificate (Mechanical) issued by DGMS is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining coal mining machinery.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, and alignment of rotating machinery.
