Mangalam Coalfield is hiring a statutory Electrical Supervisor for the Amlabad Colliery. You will be the authorized person responsible for all electrical installations (HT & LT) within your assigned jurisdiction, ensuring they meet the safety standards of the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory Compliance: Act as the legal Electrical Supervisor for the mine, ensuring all installations comply with CEA regulations and DGMS circulars.
- Power Distribution: Oversee the operation and maintenance of 33kV/11kV substations, underground transformers, and switchgear.
- Safety Audits: Conduct regular insulation resistance (IR) tests, earth pit resistance tests, and relay testing.
- Team Management: Direct the electrical staff (electricians/helpers) for cable jointing, panel maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain the statutory Electrical Logbook and permit-to-work records for all high-tension work.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Statutory Certificate: Valid Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency (Mining) issued by the State Licensing Board is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of experience in HT/LT mining electrical systems.
- Technical Skills: Experience with VCBs, ACB, and Flameproof (FLP) equipment in underground mines.
